I’m an artist and I’m a maker.

This quote by German artist Gerhard Richter “Art is the highest form of hope.” is why I do what I do.

I want to bring art to our everyday lives.

So I publish coloring books, draw floral birthday calendars, and make things to wear. My inspiration for my imagery comes from my love for nature and the outdoors. I am fascinated with the textures, patterns, and color that can only be found exploring in the mountains, or just taking a walk around the neighborhood. I combine this with my other passion, modern design.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to go all in and pursue my art full time. It took a long time and a lot of life experiences to get to this point! First it was a brief stint straight out of high school attending Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. Then it was taking an opportunity to volunteer on a non-profit medical ship in Africa. Which lead to meeting my husband and living in Germany for a period of time. (My husband’s from there) We moved back to the U.S., opened a retail store in Olympia WA., Einmaleins, in 2007. About 5 years later we made the choice to close shop. Oh, yeah!! We also had two kids by then!! Phew!

Through all of these experiences, the ups and the downs, art has always been a constant thread. It kept me from loosing my mind from boredom when living in Germany, now I have a beautiful wedding album, hand made. It helped give our store personality and even some revenue with the window displays I designed and the props I made, like a felt wedding cake. This has shown me first hand why art and creativity is so important for our lives, everyday. My passion is to bring this to you.
